No Pride in Genocide
OPEN CALL: Queer Cinema for Palestine is looking for new short films about Palestinians, with curatorial priority given to (especially queer-ish) Palestinian and other Indigenous, including Black Indigenous, artists/voices/stories, works by SWANA (Southwest Asia North Africa) filmmakers and queer Palestine solidarity voices/stories.

QCP 2026: Queer Cinema for Palestine, under the slogan “No Pride in Genocide,” will curate a single program of 5-7 stellar new short films, to be presented by groups/partners in cities globally during Pride Month (June 2026). Each filmmaker will be paid a flat fee.
BACKGROUND: Last year during Pride month (June 2025), Queer Cinema for Palestine’s curated program was screened by more than 250 groups/partners at over 110 screenings in 34 countries globally.
Queer Cinema for Palestine started as a film festival in 2021, offering a hybrid ten-day program in thirteen cities around the world, celebrating Palestinian voices and queer solidarity with Palestinians and their liberation struggle.
In November 2023, Queer Cinema for Palestine presented our second event “No Pride in Genocide,” with screenings in ten cities expressing solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and across all of historic Palestine facing Israel’s genocide and underlying decades-long regime of military occupation and apartheid.
QCP supports the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, in particular the call by the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) to boycott the Israeli government-sponsored LGBTQ film festival, TLVFest. Dozens of filmmakers have withdrawn their films from TLVFest and hundreds more have pledged not to submit to the Israeli government-sponsored festival. QCP 2026 will be a global collective action during the month of June 2026, calling on queer audiences and filmworkers to take action in solidarity with Palestinians by supporting BDS and PACBI’s boycott of TLVFest.

Convocatoria abierta: Presentación de cortometrajes – Cine Queer por Palestina 2026 “No hay orgullo en un genocidio”
CONVOCATORIA ABIERTA: Queer Cinema for Palestine 2026 busca nuevos cortometrajes sobre el pueblo palestino, con prioridad curatorial dada a artistas / voces / historias palestinas (especialmente queers o afines) y otras comunidades indígenas, incluidas negras, obras de cineastas del Sudoeste de Asia y Norte de África y voces / historias de solidaridad queer con Palestina.

CINE QUEER POR PALESTINA 2026: Bajo el lema “No hay Orgullo en un Genocidio”, Cine Queer por Palestina seleccionará un programa único de cinco a siete cortometrajes estelares, que serán presentados por grupos o colaboradores en ciudades de todo el mundo durante el Mes del Orgullo (junio de 2026). Cada cineasta recibirá una tarifa fija.
ANTECEDENTES: El año pasado, durante el mes del Orgullo (junio de 2025), el programa de cortometrajes seleccionado por Cine Queer por Palestina fue proyectado por más de 250 grupos / organizaciones en más de 110 proyecciones en 34 países de todo el mundo.
Cine Queer por Palestina empezó como un festival de cine en 2021, que ofrecía un programa híbrido de diez días en trece ciudades alrededor del mundo para celebrar las voces palestinas y la solidaridad queer con el pueblo palestino y su lucha por la liberación.
En noviembre de 2023, Cine Queer por Palestina presentó su segundo evento “No hay Orgullo en un Genocidio”, con proyecciones en diez ciudades para expresar solidaridad con el pueblo palestino en Gaza y en toda la Palestina histórica que enfrenta el genocidio de Israel y el régimen subyacente de ocupación militar y apartheid que lleva décadas.
QCP apoya el movimiento de Boicot, Desinversión y Sanciones (BDS) liderado por el pueblo palestino, en particular el llamado de la Campaña Palestina para el Boicot Académico y Cultural a Israel (PACBI) a boicotear el festival de cine LGBTQ+ patrocinado por el gobierno israelí, TLVFest. Cine Queer por Palestina 2026 será una acción colectiva global durante el mes de junio de 2026 que llamará al público queer y a quienes trabajan en cine a actuar en solidaridad con el pueblo palestino y a apoyar el BDS y el boicot de PACBI al TLVFest.
